Jules on top deck
As you can see it was pretty cold up there Day One
We left home about 2pm Sunday for a nice relaxed drive to Devonport. Decided we better stop and wash Yolla off the Kia.
After about an hour at the car wash we were ready so drove to the embarkation point for the ferry and we were still over an hour early....thankfully we had our books and imagination thinking up all the scenarios for the other people waiting.
One lady got out of the car and took her rubbish to the bin and then about a minute later her bloke got out and took a couple of bits himself so we gathered that they had been traveling around Tassie for a couple of weeks and had just about had enough of each other and weren't speaking or feeling helpful to each other.
At 5 o'clock yay they opened the gates finally and off we went...got our tickets, our cabin keys and traveled a hundred yards and were stopped again at the entry gate for the ferry..grrrr...45 minutes later they opend the gate to the ferry....we thought cool 4th car on we will get straight off in the morning....continued later in blog.
Went to our

Even colder...lol room and dropped off the stuff we needed for the night then went to explore the ship..Spirit of Tasmania II....Just a tip for anyone traveling on the ferry go to the ATM first because they limit you to $50 at a time and charge $2.50 a transaction...grrr...anyway we had dinner at the Captain's Table restaurant which is a buffet and well worth it
After dinner we went out on deck and watched as we left Devonport then went back inside had a coffee then back to room.
