Work, a lazy 30deg most days inside, oh the humidity!
Ahhh, routine. Up early, off to the pool for a swim before the kids get there, teach em how to blow some bubbles and then home for a snooze or a run as the whim takes me. That's about it at the moment folks.
Ulverstone is a small town located pretty much dead centre on the northern coastline of Tasmania only 15min drive either side of Devonport and Burnie, Tassies 3rd & 4th largest 'cities'. Its a neat and tidy little place where beach culture (surf & lifesaving) is pretty popular. Its not located far from Cradle Mountain (our most popular mountain range), Stanley with its giant nut (no I don't mean an oversized testicle, actually an inactive volcano with a flat top), Dismal swamp and its giant slide which winds down a massive slope into the forest below, and Marrawah, Tassies best surfing spot located on the tip of the NW coast.
I've been staying with Frank and Sus in Devonport (who have been great to me) and just trying to get the plastic back somewhere near $0. Been learning plenty from the other instructors, kids have been great and lots of fun, even went for a beach
run the other day which was nice.
Took a few hapy snaps with the trusty underwater camera the other day, great fun. That is me taking a nice self-portait down the deep end, penny my trusty penguin friend, and some of the kids from Ulverstone primary.
Back to cricket on the weekend, made a rusty 29 on NTCA no. 1 ground, not very often us Mowbray boys get to play on the big ground. Good decks, quick outfield and reasonably long boundaries. The ground will host a Tassie vs Sth Aus first class game in a couple of weeks, its pretty nice. A few of the pics of the boys, we even have the David Boon grandstand, this was his home club when he wasn't playing for Aus/Tas. Pretty ground (but no Riley park lol)...
Little bit coming up, flying weekend visit back to Adelaide for wedding of Claire and Ramo, Falls festival with Moo & Poo in the Caravan of love over New Years (Michael Franti, Eskimo Joe, Wolfmother etc), Half Marathon in Hobart early January, Brett and Jaz home for engagement, even a dinky triathalon in devonport in a few weeks... should keep us out
of trouble for a while!
Happy Birthday Gia if your reading this, hope you had a good one.
Christine (aka mum) is back from surgery in Melbourne and is getting a little better ever day (though driving Rossco mad with the freakin bell!). Hopefully she will be back walking by christmas fingers crossed. She is sporting a glamorous new buzz cut, and neat looking scars on her noggin, nothing a beanie can't fix....
Anyway, till lata,
