We are officially on our way home now. Tonight we are staying at Murray Bridge in South Australia after a big drive down from Roxby Downs, which is a mining town where they mine Copper, Uranium, Gold & Silver. Our Dad’s cousin Leah lives there. We went to a small Opal mining town called Andamooka for lunch on Sunday with Leah, her husband Scott & their son Brody. He is 15 months old.

On Friday night we stayed at Coward Springs. It used to be a station on the Ghan Railway but now it is a campground with a natural spa that we got in with Dad. The water comes up from an underground bore & is really warm.

On Wednesday & Thursday night we stayed at Coober Pedy. This is an old Opal mining town where half of the people live underground during summer! We went to an old mine & went underground looking at the old veins of opal & some cool things in the museum. We even got to go in an underground house! In the afternoon we swam in the pool at the caravan park but it was very cold in the water.

On Monday & Tuesday nights we stayed at a cattle station called Curtin Springs. We met some other kids & had fun with an emu that lived around the park. While we were here we went to Ayers Rock (Uluru) & The Olgas. They are REALLY BIG. Nathan & Dad tried to climb Ayers Rock but only got three quarters of the way up before Dad was too puffed. Nathan thinks Dad was scared that we were up so high. The Olgas were very beautiful & we went for a walk through them.

This might be our last post as we are leaving for the boat on Friday. See everyone soon!
