We left home at 6.30am and met Rhonda and Colin in Deniliquin ready to start our big first day. The morning weather was great but a north wind blew up around lunch time and blew us around a bit in the afternoon. The long trek to the SA border was broken up with a stop at Balranald for a quick cuppa and then a stop for fuel at Mildura.

We were greeted by a dust storm at the SA border and then on to Renmark for a stop to do some fresh fruit & vegie shopping.

We arrived in Burra to grey skys and the threat of rain, which hung off just long enough to get the campers set up and find the wine, bickies, cheese etc.

The rain set in properly at about 5.30pm and now (7.30pm) it is coming down steadily ! we will soon find out if the camper has any leaks !

Nothing else to do so time for bed and we will see what tomorrow brings.
