We bid farewell to Endeavour River Escape mid morning and headed back into Cooktown to enjoy the peaceful foreshore area and the Saturday morning markets.
The plan for the rest of the day was unclear but we decided to hit the road just after lunch. The end result was we wound our way back down to Mount Molloy and set up camp again at the gold coin donation spot we had been a few nights before.
Being a Saturday (only 52 of those in a year remember) I couldn’t resist the urge to walk into town and bring back a few coldies to enjoy as the sun went down.
