.... and on over the horizon
Note gaffa tape (the all purpose tool) holding our glove box lid in place Sunday 17th July 2011 Hann River Roadhouse to Archer River Roadhouse
Nice easy start today – good thing, as some people (and maybe the cows) needed the sleep in. Stopped off at Musgrave, a pleasant facility with a river nearby, and enjoyed lunch at Linda’s Guesthouse in Coen, under the shade of the 110-year-old bougainvillea. There are massive roadworks all along this road, probably because of all the flooding in Queensland earlier this year. Today’s dramas: Ray had some dirty fuel from somewhere which was solved (more or less) with some cleaning and replacement of some parts; we have a handbrake that refuses to release after being applied. The solution to the handbrake problem is not to use it, but to achieve this I think we will have to gaffa tape it down! The other solution is to crawl under the back of the car and whack it with a well-aimed hammer – this is becoming tedious!
