After doing a tour of Fraiser Island I was left feeling satisfied that Australia finally has something thats worth doing and not just tanning on the beach, drinking and surfing! I was ready for the Whitsunday Islands which was booked on the Tongarra. Our crew consisted of Binkie the main man and cook, Dad the captain and pip the cleaner and our part-time photographer

Everything was pretty much perfect. The day started off with a long rough sail to a sheltered bay where we docked for dinner consisting of BBQ Fish and salad. We hit the sack after a few rounds of goon and Ring of fire! Sleeping was impossible as I was on the top deck and with harsh winds we were exposed to it was a long long night!

Day 2 started off with a sail across to the Whitsunday islands national park where we had a short walk to the Whitehaven Beach which was out of this world!! We spent 2 hours here playing football on the beach and tanning as u do!! The beaches were as white as gold and the water as clear as crystal!! After this our lunch consisting of wraps and sandwiches with either Tuna, corn beef or ham with salad was served. We then headed off to our first snorkelling stop in Langford Reef. Here we were able to see the Inner reef which isn't as good as the great barrier reef further north but still good to see. We swam with the fishes and then ate our dinner consisting of a MASSIVE spag bol! Good times!! In the evening we played more drinking games and with about 2 hours sleep from the night before due to the harsh winds, I went to bed inside where I was completely sheltered from the winds.

Day 3 we were up at 6.30am again and had a fruit breakfast with georgous pinnaples, watermelon and mango. We headed to our second snorkelling and swimming spot which was pretty much exactly the same as the day before. Food was similar again with a nice lunch of sandwiches and wraps!! hmmmmmmm Next we sailed back to home to Airlie Beach 😞
