june 18 another day same carpark. more better still. finally at 1 pm said to a bloke as i stuck sticker on his car that i'd been lucky not to be told to leave when centre manager cme up and did it. oh well. i'd had enough anyway. tomorrow northwards.
june 19 markets in center of maryborough. one bloke got four handwavers for his shop. cheap veggies. went north, stopped childers for two hours. on to gladstone and marina where two boats got burgees and one woman got large and flew!
june 20 early at marina. same woman got two more large saying she'd have them in reserve when first one wore out. on to rockhampton. warm sunny. arvo and evneing in emu park. lovely quiet spot, stickers and flags. moonlight shadows of leaves dance on my dashboard and i struggle with existance.
june 21 top spruik yeppoon. sold three large too! shower at marina. burgees onto boats.
june 22 more yeppoon. more support. shower at marina, musician good. more burgees on boats.
june 23 airlie. moonshine on dashboard after a day of spruiking and sailing. finally got told by centre manager to stop. saw several more cars with stickers from last time through. then went to yacht club and went out with mixed group to big old boat in leaky dingy. great vibe but. pin end start put us back but two perfect wind shifts brought us forward at first mark. second leg disasterous on big knock. at mooring i got in dingy to bail and slipped, getting pants wet after dry race. great commraderie at bar for presentations.
june 26 car smoking from oil on engine. no can spruik shopping centres. did marina. barby lunch cannondale. embittered divorcee and swiss backpacker as tide crept in. did several stickers on cars. met howard and maureen at yc. he cancer. a special moment. he liking old flag but inspired by my passion. poker night. i held on with lousy cards til second round.
