Day 49

Today was the day we had been ever so slightly apprehensive about....the start of our 3 day bush camp: Gagaju!! We waited at the bus stop and were met by Alan, a very 'attractive' Australian man in his 50s with possibly the most frightening laugh we'd ever heard! He took us to a lookout point to show us where we would be camping before dropping us at the supermarket to pick up our supplies for the camp! Arriving in Gagaju we were a little stunned by our sleeping arrangements, a delightful 'dorm' tent which looked like something out of the army that had been rotting in cobwebs for years! Upon our tour Camilla and Becky were instantly squealing at the sight of the huntsman spiders which were littering both the inside and outside of the very much open dorm! We soldiered on however and spent our first night in camp with our fellow canoers before braving bed! Camilla was close to tears and Becky was wrapped under a full size mosquito net whilst Elin snoozed above!
