Minimoke
Our first visit here for 3 days only. Townsville is excellent, a very scenic place to explore.
A 40 minute ferry ride to Magnetic Island was a joy. A bit rough, but an exciting journey to the unknown.
We visited Horseshoe Bay, our favourite place, beautiful sunsets and fantastic bars, cocktails at the bar, or fish and chips on the shore. Townsville has a warm climate and strong winds, the beach was nice , a few stingers in the water, maybe wear a wetsuit next time ay.
Great weather, natural environment and I have never seen so many koalas in one place at one time.
Best time to see them is after 430pm. It is was really worthwhile to hire the minimokes , the island is only 15km long, so a day was enough. backpackers everywhere!
