12th January - Hervey Bay

Arrived in Hervey Bay after travelling through the night on the Greyhound from Airlie Beach, sad to leave Airlie hope Hervey Bay is as good! Didn't manage to sleep much on the way down but journey was still ok. Luckily we arrived at what has been our best hostel yet : ) and had a afternoon kip! Went for a walk along the beach and to check out what Hervey Bay had to offer - an Irish Bar ; ) so popped in for lunch and a pint! Met up with my friend from home Chris and a couple of his mates in the evening (again at the Irish Bar ; ) to swap Aussie stories and tips as he is travelling the opposite way to us! Off to fraser Island tommorrow for 3 days and 2 nights...early 6am start will be fun! xx
