Hervey Bay is the gateway to Fraser Island - the worlds largest sand island. Three girls in tow now! We stayed here for 3 days and had a fab cabin with all amenities, a luxury to Hollie and I these days! We stayed at the YHA and it had its own pool so we done a bit sunbathing on the first day. The other 2 days we had drizzle so 1 of them we wandered down to the beach and all around basically - it's not a big place at all.

We took a day trip to Fraser Island in a 4x4 coach. We done a rainforest walk, drove along 75 mile beach so much fun in the 4x4 it was like a day long rollercoaster! We saw a shipwreck, on this beach as well as a dingo and out in the sea we saw 2 whales diving in and out of the water which was amazing!
We spent some time at the beautiful mackenzie lake and even ventured into the freezing cold water!
