1/3 - So after not being able to get our theme park tickets last night we got up early this morning to sort them out. We got the tickets and then went straight to Movie World; the girls drove but there's only two seats in the car so I had to get a shuttle bus. Movie world was like a mini universal studios but the theme is Warner Bros movies like Batman, Superman, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes etc. There were a few rollercoasters, a rapid ride, a interactive ride where you have to shoot things, some shows to watch and a parade. My favourite ride was the Superman rollercoaster because it was a lot like The Hulk ride in Florida because it stops you and then shoots off really fast! It was so hot today that by the time we got home I was worn out. 2/3 - The pass we bought included Movie World, Wet n Wild and Sea World so today we went to Wet n Wild because we didn't want another day of queuing in the boiling heat- we needed some water rides. It was just a typical day at a water park really: we went on the
slides, around the lazy river and relaxed on the sun loungers in between. There were quite a few rides that I've never seen before which was cool. There was one where you had to where a board on your back and then stand in a tube, it counts down from 3 and then the floor your standing on disappears and you go shooting around this tube. I was so scared of the floor dropping from beneath me but it was so much fun! when I got back to the hostel I was going to have some dinner and then look around the town but the hostel was organising a night out so I went out instead. Fliss came with me and two girls from a previous hostel were there too which was nice. We went to sin city which was a bit weird because all the bad staff were girls in lingerie but the drinks were cheap and the music was good so it was a fun night. 3/3 - Today we went to sea world which wasn't as good as the other parks but it was still really good. We watched a sea lion show, a dolphin show and
saw polar bears, penguins, sharks, sea turtles, sting rays and a load of fish. There was a log flume ride and a rollercoaster which was really fun because it was a water ride as well so it cooled us down. By about half 2 we had seen everything but my bus wasn't until half 4. Fliss and Vicky were going straight from Brisbane from sea world so they left because there was no point in them hanging around. I was so tired because I only got 5 hours sleep last night so I walked around the park and then watched the dolohin show again to keep me occupied until my bus came. As soon as I got back I had a nap and then went and sat on the tables outside to speak to people. There was a pub quiz at the hostel so I did that with a group of people and we won because the one guy knew almost every answer some how- I don't know how he knew so much random rubbish! 4/3 - I woke up early this morning because I'd had an early night so I decided to go for a run along side the
beach which made me feel so much better because I hadn't done any exercise in ages! As it was my last day in surfers I wanted to have a look around the main shopping area and go to the beach. I got talking to a girl at breakfast and she wanted to come with me so we went together. We had a look in some shops and then sat outside a cafe by the beach and got a drink. We spent the afternoon at the beach which was such a busy beach. Once we'd had enough we walked back to the hostel to have a shower and dinner. One of the people from my surf lesson was sat at the table at the hostel so we all got talking and me and Holly (girl from today) decided to go out with everyone because the hostel organises a "big night out". A big coach picked us up and took us to the first bar where we met up with all the other hostels in surfers which was cool because it was just full of backpackers. We went to four bars/clubs in total so it was a really good night. I saw
a few of the German people from Coffs Harbour out as well which was nice- I've seen them at every place since Coffs Harbour so far! I wasn't planning on going out because I had to check out the next morning and it was $30 for a ticket but it was definitely worth it because that meant we didn't pay entry to any of the clubs and we got a drink in each place as well as transport there, plus it was so much fun!
