Sasha in the beautiful Rainforest campgrounds in the Daintree Woke up to the serenity of the beautiful rainforest. This campsite was epic. We experienced accomodation with adventure. This park included an educational talk on salt water crocodiles. We also met "Doris", the salt water crocodile residing at the Lync Haven Rainforest Motel. We also met red kangaroos and wallabies which the girls enjoyed feeding. The place was truly a sanctuary and a place that I would definitely visit again. Thankyou Lync Haven for a wonderful stay. We had an amazing journey along the Daintree Coast. We drove past through the Aboriginal community of Wujal Wujal, Ayton, Rossville, Helenvale and on to Cooktown. Along the way we stopped at the famous Lion's Den Hotel in Helenvale. We stopped for lunch at the popular Emmagen Creek. There was some really steep inclines and descents through the Donavan and Cowie ranges. There were many creek crossings (most of them dry and shallow). I am sure it will get really deep in the wet season (approaching soon I am told). Arrived at Cooktown and stayed at the Big 4 caravan park (no free camp sites or campgrounds in many of the places from Cairns to Cape York.
