Wow, that's all I can say!!
I went on a whole day boat tour to the Barrier reef yesterday and it was absoultely stunning! It was an early 7.30am start and I was pretty tired from the nigth before. I had promised myself not to drink too much, but hmm, does that ever happen! Does one drink actually exist!? I managed to get up and it was to become worth it! We went to two different locations where we could go snorkeling or diving and my god it was beautiful! The weather was gorgeous with clear blue skies and a lof of sunshine so it made the visibility perfect! The coral, the fish and even the huge shark that I saw was incredible! It felf like I was part of this other world under water as the life there just continues as normal with no distractions although all these people swimming around! I loved every second of it. I also ended up going on a helicopter ride from the reef and it was pretty exciting! I've never been in a helicopter before so the whole experience was just breath taking and to see it all from a different angle was amazing! I was sitting right next to the pilot, so my view was the best! Woooohoo, it was so much fun!
We also had great BBQ food for lunch, time for sunbathing on deck, snorkeling at the second location and then some free wine and entertainment on the way back to Cairns. Well the entertainment was a man singing and playing his guitarr.. I think he must have written the songs himself, he lyrics were not all there!!!
Last night, I was exhausted and went to bed straight after my $10 steak! I couldn't keep my eye open any longer..
I'm off to Alice Springs tomorrow for one night, not even going to get time to see the famous Rock, only a quick visit before I fly to Perth.
I hope you are all well and not missing me too much beacuse I'm not missing the life in Lonfon just yet;0) he he
