wednesday 12 dec

left bangkok tuesday night and flew 2 sydney, had a few hrs 2 kill so took a train in2 sydney city. Amazing place, very vibrant, loads 2 c & plenty going on, cant wait 2 get back there 4 new year. got the train bk 2 the airport but not knowing 2 us we had 2 change lines, in a nutshell we were late 4 our flight & only got on it as it was delayed!
Arrived in Cairns 10pm, met our friends tom & vic & went straight out on the lash, loads of students in fancy dress in happening bars.good taste of ozzy nightlife!


thursday 13 dec

Left the hostel early 2 pick up our home 4 the next 2 weeks(our wicked camper van, photos 2 follow) its well funny, it never stops amusing/offending people! had a brief look round Cairns then started our road trip down the east coast, 1st stop mission beach, checked in our van park then had a few beers.

friday 14 dec

got up early 2 go white water rafting, 5hrs & 15kms of fun filled action, didnt realise how dangerous it could be, but it was definitely thrilling. Tom fell out on the 1st rapid out of about 50, followed by ashley shortly after then a german girl about 3 times. i stayed in! mission beach was very quiet nightlife wise, found the best bar we could & had a chat with the token mad local, travis.
