A great couple of days! After leaving Home Hill and arriving here, I have spent the last 4 days swimming and snorkelling in the turquoise waters of Bowen. It is a relatively undiscovered town with great walks, scenery across to Gloucester Island (top of the Whitsundays) and of course fantastic beaches. There are also numerous coral and fish to be seen if you go snorkelling.

The backpackers i'm staying at - Reefers by the Bay - is quite good, although i've yet to get some work and the dorms are a bit cramped. Perhaps the best thing about it is the promiximity to Queens Bay and Horseshoe Bay.
Not sure what the future will bring but I anticipate another week here, depending on the sort of work I get and it comes.
