Australia zoo was calling! “Crikey! Have a go at that!” R.I.P. Steve Irwin.

We got to the zoo at around midday and were just in time for the croc show at the famous crocacium where Steve used to prance around sticking his head in crocs mouths and other such antics. It was really good fun to watch and Matt got a free photo of Steve feeding a croc for his awesome impression of a koala. I use the word 'awesome' losely. He didn't actually do much, but then, I suppose neither do koalas! The highlight of the day for me was getting to have my photo taken holding a koala! They're amazing!!! I want one.

That night we staying in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. We had great sunshine the next day so spent it o the beach. This was where it all went wrong! We were driving up a hill and the engine suddenly cuts out. We had been waiting for something like this to happen but weren't at all prepared for it. It was a Friday evening so no garages were open until Monday which meant we had to hang around for the weekend not knowing what the problem was or if it could be fixed. It was not a fun time.
Early on the Saturday morning we had a phone call informing us that Gill (Matt's step mum) had passed away suddenly, we made arrangemnts to come back to England as soon as we could.

Gill was a great Mum to me and we all loved her very much I have added photos of Gill so we can remember her. We Love you Patch xxx
