In Tennant creek we found out about Kelly’s Ranch where you get a guided tour on horseback on which you get to hear stories about aboriginal culture and get some bush-tucker stops along the way. It sounded interesting so why not give it a go?
If you feel like you need to, like we did, you can sign up for a one hour long group riding lesson before the real ride. You don’t need any earlier experience, which makes this an activity everyone can enjoy. Unless you like Linnéa is allergic, then this might not be your best option. But she still enjoyed it in between the sneezes.
It was a lot of fun, and as fascinating as we thought it would be if not more. On the other hand, since none of us is a used to horse-riding, our butts were murdered during this, so tomorrow will be spent by the pool with us just relaxing. I think a day off for us was well needed anyway.
