Kings Canyon and on to Alice Springs

Another early start and on board the coach in darkness. Arrived at Kings Canyon just as day was breaking. We started the walk but after only a third of the way up the first climb sense prevailed and we returned to ground level, neither of us would have been able to complete the walk. Disappointed but still in one piece we enjoyed the walk along the canyon. The rest of the day was spent aboard the coach travelling to Alice Springs. Boring! Seven hours on straight roads with monotous scenery.

Sunset and sunrise at Ayers Rock was great. The rest of the Red Centre and their hotels are not great but it was an outback experience..
