Caravanning Trip Day 1

Sunday morning we hitched up the van and set off on our 2 week holiday. We drove North to Taree, where we stopped for lunch, before continuing to our first stop - South West Rocks. The drive North took us about 5 hours. We stayed at the Big 4 Caravan Park at Arakoon. It was a nice caravan park, there were a lot of kangaroos about. After setting up camp we went for a drive to locate the South West Rocks jail, shops. beach etc.

We had a shower of rain after we had set up and then we noticed this beautiful rainbow.

I would have been surprised at the big Kangaroo so close too!! Do they bother you?

Yes
the big male kangaroos bother me if they come too close. Fortunately, they kept their distance. The females with the joeys are lovely.
