SYDNEY AIRPORT

Well here we are sitting in the transit lounge at Sydney Intl Airport. Flight departed Melbourne ON TIME (WOO HOO). Certainly didn't expect that from Philippine Airlines.

Interestingly enough, sitting in the plane and accelerating down the runway, listening to the kathump kathump of the tyres on the joins in the runway as the plane accelerated - getting faster and faster and then - almost as if by some mystical laws of physics - the plane gently rose and suddenly we were airborne. AMAZING STUFF HUH?????

We've spent about an hour here in transit with a big Qantas 747 parked right out front of the window. Also saw quite a few Qantas jets on the runway - not a single engine fell off or ignited. Must be all media hype.


Squish wanted me to include a photo of her sitting in the transit lounge - thought better of it.


Next stop Manila in about 7.5 hours - more then
