Great view but I do miss that weather!
So my first entry from the Southern hemisphere. Had a busy few days so far and we are thoroughly enjoying Sydney. It seems to be a great place to visit, its just a shame about the weather! Wasn't great the first day we got there but at least dry, then we got a couple of days of sunshine which were great. It is such a beautiful and diverse place. Then the clouds came over and we have had torrential rain since, I'm pretty sure you have seen on the news about it. Not so bad here as down the road in Newcastle but still very wet.

Flight over was ok but very long and due to the international dat line we missed Saturday completely! Air NZ were great and comfy enough. Agian we have done alot of walking, the best place being around to Mrs Maquire's Point where we had lunch one day and took in the view. It basically is a park that juts out into the harbour and you can see the Opera House with Sydney Harbour Bridge behind it a great photo opportunity. We have done all the main sights now and a few cool lesser know

Beer tastes so much better when it is free!ones. We took a walk ove rhte bridge one day to Luna Park which is an old 20's style fairground with proper old rides, the best being a barrel you stand it that spins round sticking you to the wall before the floor gets taken away. We allso strolled around 'The Rocks' market which is in the older part of Sydney under the bridge, it was full of really cool stalls with great things for sale, had to resist though.

Have been to Darlking Harbour too which is really pretty and haqs the Maritime museum there. I think I bored Vicky in there though and near it is the fish market where all of the fish comes into Sydney. We had fish and chips there and it was really nice fresh off the boat! Other than that we got a free drinks voucher book from the first hostel so are gradually doing a tour of Sydneys Bars for free, no complaints here! Suffering from brain drain now so will put more up soon...

Wot happened to growing your hair till you came home! Obviously not a man of your word. DON'T do it again. It's not hard to manage you only have to wash it and let it dry - god forbid you should ever get into straighteners!! Leave that to Jon!xxxx
