Sydney to Birkenhead Point
Luna Park under dark skies Decided to go to Birkenhead Point (BP) and then up to Parramatta. That was the plan, but it came unstuck. We arrived at Circular Quay after train ride from Kirrawee and had about half hour wait at the Quay to take ferry to Drummoyne (BP). While there we start chatting with a lady who was also going to Drummoyne, which is where she lived. She had just "popped" into town to do some shopping and was heading home (10.30 ish). We chatted about BP as our stop and she said it was about a ten minute walk from the ferry stop. This is where she was wrong, it was closer to 25 minutes and a fair section was uphill. Consequently we hurriedly looked around, picked up some Gazman gear and were about to walk back to the ferry point. Joint decision, we will go to Parramatta another day, there is plenty to do here. A few credit card entries later and another coffee and food supplement we were headed back to the ferry and back home just before it rained. The pics are mainly of the trip and a lovely spot at Drummoyne Sailing Club.
