finally! a day at the beach...

We escaped Surfside the next morning, and took a bunch of buses finally figuring out where the Bus Depot and my cell phone were. I was very happy to have it back, and after that we went to our hostel right by Central station, Home Backpackers. It was not especially nice or clean, but it was not Surfside and for that we were grateful. We packed up a beach bag and took the ferry from Circular Quay over to Manly, where we spent the afternoon at the beach. I bought a new book and it was really nice to finally have some good weather and a beach day. We stayed in Manly for dinner, and then took the ferry back that night. We were kinda freaked out when we realized the other two beds in our six-bed room were occupied by boys, but they both turned out to be lovely, and we went to sleep.
