Hi all
Well we made it home safely landing at around 5 am this morning. Had a little scare when a passenger fell ill and we were warned we might be quarantined but all went well. We met Pete's parents at the airport before they hopped on a plane headed for Denmark. Hope you all enjoyed our blogs as much as we enjoyed writing them. Thanks for your emails...we looked forward to reading them every day.
We pondered how to end our story. Our European adventure exceeded our expectations. We cannot really pick a highlight so we decided to list our highlights in each country.
First stop The Netherlands. Green, fresh, cold, windmills, canals, tulips, licorice (double salted), bikes, dykes, and most importantly wonderful relatives who made our stay so much fun!
Second stop Paris. Metro, Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe, monuments, sculptures, queues, walking, art, and so much more. Loved it!
Third stop..Cote d'azure. Mediterranean, topless sunbathers, crazy drivers and bikers, yachts, Alps, perfumeries, medieval villages atop mountains, gorges, narrow cobbled streets, baguettes.
Fourth stop...Italy. More crazy drivers, pizza n pasta, cappucino, old villages, piazzas, Lake Como (George not there).
Next stop Switzerland. Incredible Alps, panoramic trains, clean, cow bells, tunnels, cable cars, cheese, chocolate, snow, best rail system in the world. Great friends.
Next stop Germany. Autobahns and black Audis, medieval villages, history, christmas shops.
Finally Denmark. So much like Holland. Bikes, reunited with family, running out of energy.

Where to next time? Who knows. But we have the bug. See you next time
