Had a lovely breakfast at the Hotel and packed up and off to have a look at the headland another lighthouse gun emplacements and a blowhole. Drove onto Shoalhaven heads through the first we had seen of the fires it was to be fire damage through to Lakes Entrance at the bottom corner of Australia... saw lots of burnt out houses and cars sheds etc ... had a drive around and on through Nowra and out to Huskisson in Jervis Bay another quaint seaside village and I realise I really love more southern Australia ... so pretty and interesting. Had a wander around the town and a coffee ... took some pics of the bay and moved on after about 2 hours .... temperature very pleasant at about 22 degrees .. a nice change from NZ. Drove inland a little and through Ulladulla another harbour with lots of commercial fishing boats this time, didn't stop but carried on across the bridge and estuary to Batemans Bay another interesting spot by this time it was around 5.30pm and a few showers of rain.... tried to find accomodation but as it is a long weekend there is a lot happening along the coast

Kiama Looking Across To Hotel and a concert had booked out Batemans Bay so we got a bit anxious and would have to drive onto Bega 2 hours away and miss a good portion of coastal drive..... we left Batemans Bay at 6.30pm and drove solid to Bega ... Mogo and Cobargo looked very interesting but kept going got in at 8.30pm and checked into Bega South Town Motor Inn, an interesting couple that had had 6 trips to NZ ..... Unpacked the car and went to get dinner at 9pm ... worn out and a sound sleep.
