today we landed in byron bay.

we left airlie beach on the 4th and headed to surfers paradise for 3 nights.

we went to townsville before we left airlie and hit up the billabong sanctuary. AMAZING. held koala bears, and snakes! we saw the 3 most deadly snakes in the world. we also saw crocodiles and wombats, and fed kangaroos. it was so cool finally seeing the wildlife here!

surfers was a ton of fun...and kind of a blur.

we went on a pub crawl, and don't remember coming home last night...heaps of fun though!

the beach in surfers is amazing. it's so neat seeing the high rises along the beach like that.

i would have stayed and worked there if we didn't already have travel plans.

we just arrived in byron...learning to surf tomorrow.

we are sleeping in a teepee tonight, and arts factory hostel. should be interesting. there is a wood stove so hopefully we're warm. it's a lot colder in new south wales.

thinking about sky diving while we are here...we'll see though.

try to keep you all posted as we hit up the coast. final stop on our 3 week escapade is FIJI!!!!
