Greetings from tha lovely Byron Bay area! Been here since Friday and will likely stay until then as well. Last monday bright and early abe n ah hopped aboard tha mojo surf camp bus fer five days of surfing and drinking (after an afternoon at bondi beach surfing ah convinced abe to join me fer tha good time. and a good time it was.

Tha group of people were all excellant, after a couple hour drive we hit tha beach fer a little and then went back to camp fer some drinking and cookout....probably wont eat as well fer tha remainder of this trip as ah did last week. Also played my first game of cricket, and sort of understand it now?

We had a full day after that surfing at melaluca, then anutha morning adn we were off to mojo headquarters at lake crescent fer tha evening in tha ocean and then a fantastic spread. One more full day, then a morning session and we left fer byron to celebrate tha week.

Surfing, is awesome. Its tha only one of tha board sports that requires you to work WITH tha elements instead of against them, and just being out thar in tha ocean is quite humbling. Tha idea of being able to ride a big wave inside of tha barrell is what will keep me going on this sport fer quite a while ah think. tha next two nites were spent at cheeky monkeys, some gawdawfully cheesy nite club where yer expected to dance on tha tables. it was all good fun, but wouldve been better if nawt fer tha fact that its schoolies week (read, high schoolers) so tha clubs are a little too young right now.

Havent been back out surfing yet, as tha waves arent that good, but maybe tomorrow aftah anutha aboriginal hike ahll git a chance. Spent one last nite at aquarius, wherein ah gawt to play a little bass fer some people, nawt that anyone listened, and now ahm at tha arts factory, which is a little removed, but very awesome. 5 acres of space, attached to a great place called tha buddha bar, swimming pool, jacuzzi, volleyball and workshops up tha wazoo. reminds me of a uu camp in ways, took poi (fire spinngin lessons) and am playing a little digierdoo, also took a really cool spider walk last nite. amazing creatures, really resilent. all tha wildlife out here is so fascinating tha way theyve learned to adapt to thar environment.

So yeah, a few more days here in byron having a good time and relaxing, then up to brisbane to try and find some fruit picking work. Although today ah gawt half of my list done, ah went skydiving!!! Woke up bright and early, only to git sent back b.c it was too cloudy, but gawt back out thar at 1 pm and tha conditions were great. Tha dive was out of this world, ah cant even describe how exhilarating it is to free fall like that. tha air pressure is a bitch though, ah still cant hear kerrectly. but totally worth it, n ah sprung fer tha dvd and photos to remind myself that AH JUMPED OUT OF AN AIRPLANE and fell 14000 feet (longest dive in australia).

Ahm daein great, a lil on my own now that abes back in Sydney, but ahll find him again. So ahm going to try and upload some pictures and then go back to tha Arts Factory fer happy hour. Thanks fer reading, travelbloggers!!!

**Edit** Tuesday nite ah played tha talent show at tha arts factory, and it went over excellently. they really listened and enjoyed it, and ah won a tour of a nearby town as a result. Last nite was up till 3 playing musick w. people (badly and on an acoustic guitar, but nonetheless), and am really enjoying tha Arts Factory and tha little world they have. Enjoy tha pics folks!**
