Cold, dull, not much to get us excited

Day 65 (Wednesday 24/06/09, NJJ)
I nearly ran an old man over this morning. I drove the J.R. for the first time and wasn't used to the the pedals, they were far apart as the steering column was where the brake should be but luckily as the man carried on walking I missed him, no accident after all. I knew the exact position of the pedals after that near miss. Drove to Cann River. Decided to take inland road towards Canberra. Passed from Victoria into New South Wales. Saw wildlife along the way. It rained quite a bit, a little depressing. Stopped at Bombala for lunch, soup and sandwiches in van. Drove through Cooma and Bredbo but decided to keep going until Canberra. Checked into a campsite. Drive into city for a look. Saw few important buildings. Pasta for dinner - no surprise there. I sat in the van reading while Jay went to the on-site pub to watch the State of Origin rugby before bed.
