"Life is not a destination but a journey." I love road trips. Settling into the car with my favorite driver by my side and taking off for parts unknown. All we need is a map, a camera, one small suitcase, a full tank of gas and a bag of snacks. We stop at scenic spots along the way or take time to read historical markers. Farm stands and small town Main Street shops become our big city museums and art galleries,as we seek out new interests.We learn to ask for directions when we lose our way. We eat at local cafes and order the special of the day. We sit in parks or perch on sidewalk benches to "people watch." Years ago friends came to our town to visit. They gave their son a disposable camera and let him take photos of dogs. Whenever he asked for permission to take a photo the dog owners would usually share a story or two. Sometimes just one photo can turn strangers into friends. Bon Bon Voyage!
