It just sounds so wrong when we say it like that. I have loved the song "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys ever since it was included in Boston's July 4 fireworks in 2008. Since Boston is one of our destinations for this trip, we have sung it a lot. The boys are now quite good at the back-up vocals.

This morning we left DC at 7:45, when it was 88o. How wrong is that? We watched the temperature climb to 103o around New York, dip to 79o in eastern Connecticut and then climb back up again. I would be really happy with 74o like at home right now, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting it. The drive was uneventful, which is the most we should hope for, although tolls cost more than $100. We saw many, many police cars on the shoulder making other people unhappy. The boys were happy to see lots of boats and cross many bridges. They should be quite thrilled with our few days in Boston and environs.

Our home for the next 5 nights is Normandy Farms Campground in Foxboro. We are in the very farthest campsite out because we only made our reservation 5 months ago. This place has everything, though, which we won't really take advantage of. I can see possibly coming here for an extended stay as a base for touring just the surrounding 60 miles.
