In June, 2009, I drove US Route 12 from west to east, starting in Aberdeen, Washington and breaking off at Bowman, North Dakota. I hope that I will soon be able to take up the path at the place I left off and follow it eastward to its terminus in Detroit, Michigan. This is a journal of what I saw.
