Torque
He acts like his normal self, but is not doing well. I thought I would include a few more pictures of the ship for you to view. Also, on the way home, things were not as smooth as they were coming over. I got to the airport plenty early, actually way too early that I could have slept another hour, but nonetheless, I was one of the first one off to get to the airport and ran into no problems even though it was Superbowl Sunday. I get checked in, upgraded to first class to New York and confirm my middle seat to Moscow is still vacant on both sides so things are looking good. As I sit in the Crown Room waiting on my Russian friends to arrive, I notice our flight to New York is delayed about 30 minutes so I inquire on my connection (only one flight a day to Moscow from JFK without some additional stops). There is still plenty of time, but the inbound had not left so they were not sure if that time would be delayed any longer. They decide it is best to get me to New York and let me change airports. Of course my bags were already scheduled for the JFK airport.

Rock climbing wall, volleyball courts, driving range simulator, putt-putt golf, surfing (literally with a surfboard) pool, besides all of the normal pools, whirlpools, etc. When I get to LaGuardia, which is the same thing they did with the Russians, my bags did not make it. I think the Russians were glad I was with them because no explain to them they had to take a shuttle or taxi to get to the other airport and of course I making Delta pay for this even though it would not have been expensive sharing it with three other people.
The lady at LaGuardia tells me there is nothing she can do since my bag tags say Moscow via JFK well, just about the time we get to JFK, the limo driver tells me to wait here they found my bags and are sending them on the next shuttle. I had some choice words for Delta at this point and the poor lady inside at JFK thinks I am crazy that they would call the shuttle company and how were my bags lost and now found but at the wrong airport. She was very nice so I kept my cool with her because she was right, it was crazy, but after an hour waiting, they arrived. Now the next lady was not so lucky, she gets
on my case about needing to be at the airport two to three hours early for an international flight and I was calling it way too close and she could not ensure my bags would make it, etc. and I just let her have it! No wonder Delta is loosing money, they keep forgetting who actually pays their bills, the customers!
The good news, everything made it to Moscow and only one mug broken, everything else is fine. Misha was waiting for me at the wrong door, but we found each other and I was on my way home. I have to say, initially, I was excited to get back to Moscow. I still do not call it home, but I was ready to get back that was until I was sitting in the car, again, not able to read signs, understand people, and the weather was snowing and cold. Of course we had nice hot sunshine and I was with friends having a great time and now back to Moscow/Russia. The first day I was pretty down, but recovered okay. I did not have much trouble with the jet lag, but even now, I do not want to
go to bed. Once I go to bed, I fall to sleep as normal, but just can get myself into the bed.
Also received some bad news from Mark, Torque, the international ownership cat, is sick. I noticed he had lost weight while I was home, but seem normal so I did not think a lot about it. Mark was worried so he took him to the vet and they found an enlarged kidney. Initially they were going to operate on him, but think it is too late and his other kidney is not function correctly either, although not enlarged. They are not sure if it is a tumor or what but do not give him more than a few months to live. In talking with Mark over the weekend, Torque is declining fast. He is still not eating therefore loosing more weight and has started to vomit so I think tomorrow, I am going to make the hard decision to take him to the vet for the final time on Friday, when Mark has off. I want to say my good byes so this is not an easy blog to enter and I want to thank Mark for
