Confederate soldier cemetery, near Jefferson Davis library in Biloxi /Gulfport Mississippi
Day 1

Left Englewood Florida May 17th at 3:54am . Traveling into the unknown a new adventure, turn the page! We arrived in Gulfport Mississippi in the evening after 12 hours of driving stayed in a little RV park , the check in person was very friendly and nice . The park was ok but had some permanent residents who were a little sketchy so we stayed pretty much around our camper . But very close by was the coolest cemetery, it had confederate flags on the old tombstones and when leaving the next morning with the clouds and full moon it was awesome. We did 653 miles today!

Day 2

We drove to San Antonio the next day about 608 miles or so , on the road by 4:30 am but up at 3:30 , have to practice out take offs! Camper was good , slept good , Abby is doing well . We stayed at Hidden Valley camp ground , beautiful area running stream through the area , had a camp fire with the owners and some campers, very nice to meet new people . It is a little nerve racking driving the camper and going

through traffic , like in Houston, thank goodness it was a Saturday afternoon and not during the week ! Kathy and I have been doing a lot of reminiscing about our childhood and sharing what stories we remember , some are too funny! Have been very thankful for my practice of meditation and hypnosis, those along with prayers have helped a lot . To get me out of the nervous funk we stared naming all the things we were thankful for , the cloud lifted when we started down that path !

Day 3

Speaking of clouds or fog, we drove about 20 miles in the fog when we left , the moon was in and out of the clouds but full and beautiful, we stopped in Deming , New Mexico for the night . Got turned around in El Paso we made the loop a few times but a very nice man at the gas pumps helped us with directions, he was from Austin , have talked to some very nice helpful people along our trip . I programmed the wrong camp ground into my gps and totally drove 50 miles past it and the one we

Up early again and left by 4:30 getting better with out take offs ! Driving to Payson today will stay n a hotel tonight and sleep well . Going out to dinner with Arvie today, we drove Short day today only 292miles , we checked in early and I took a 2 hour nap, it was well deserved. Had a nice dinner with Arvie skipped the casino and went to bed early , 10 hours of much needed sleep, felt like a new person in the morning!
