Bank holiday traffic not quite what I had anticipated, hardly saw another car. Found Clearwater campsite, Wapiti, a site with no running water and vault toilets. Right next to Shoshone river, with at most, 3 other people! A beautiful site. Spent the afternoon on a wander through the sage brush and spotted a bison, collected firewood for the evening, and popped to the nearest store (15 miles) and stocked up on provisions, all of which are stored safely in the bear proof storage box provided. Fell asleep with the sound of the river rushing by about 4 foot from the tent.
