July 12th - Left Sheridan WY and continued to Five Springs and Medicine Wheel. The scenery quite beautiful through the mountains. To reach Medicine Wheel is a 3 mile round trip up a mountain path. Beautiful alpine flowers on the way and snow in the shaded sections of the dirt road. The 'wheel' is a North American Indian equivalent of Stonehenge (probably a celestial calendar). On the walk back down we saw a brown bear some distance away (thankfully) in a clearing near the forest edge. Night stop at Buffalo Bill's Hunting Lodge just outside Yellowstone Park.
