Seattle - Finally!

We made it! After a 5 1/2 hour flight - thank goodness for First Class or Lamar may have left 😊 we arrived in Seattle to perfect weather (74 and sunny). We checked into the Hotel Max downtown and learned what "European style" means - tiny, especially with 6 pieces of luggage... It's a cool hotel - all the doors have pics of musicians and street performers - we have Frank Zappa -a good sign!

Starving to death, airplane pizza is not good and you can only eat so many bags of Sun Chips, we found Blue Acre about a block from our hotel. Great choice with great staff - started with Clams in Purgatory - Manilla clams in a garlic, jalapeno, orange zest broth with chunks of Portugese Sausage. Sweetie had the Nordstrom Salad with fresh crabmeat, avocado, tomato and blue cheese while my partner crime (he's not an AH*&^% yet) had Black and Blue Rockfish - first time trying - excellent sweet, mild white fish with excellent flavor!

We then hit Pike Place - Lamar has the first of many t-shirts from the fish market. The flowers will blow you away! More to come now - Space Needle, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Lake Washington and the Mariners are teed up - maybe a show at the Showbox, too!
