Safeco Skyline
Seattle's Skyline from Safeco Section 321 Saturday was a big day for the exchange group as we met in Seattle for the Duck Tour and the Mariners game. Contrary to popular German student belief, we were not going to be viewing mallards and drakes, and whether or not we were able to watch a team capable of adequately representing the epitome of American Baseball is debatable.
All in all it was a phenomenal day! The weather could not have been better! After the Duck Tour, on which we were actually able to go in the water, many groups perused the Seattle Folk Life Festival. It was a true Seattle experience with good food and fun music. From there it was on to the Mariners game. Though we all tried, it turns out that baseball is quite a difficult game to explain when there is a language gap. It was decided to hold our own game Monday at the farewell dinner in order to better teach it. I am thinking that the overall talent level will be greater at the Monday game as well (cheap shot I know).
Anyway, it was a day full of sun and smiles! It’s on to the Mount Vernon Police station
Best Seat
Kat hops into the drivers seat on the Monorail! for a tour Sunday evening before we go midnight bowling under the black lights.
Enjoy the pics from Saturday!
