This place has plenty of beautiful overlooks!

This park is only 2 hours from home, and offers hours of never riding the same trail twice. Long, painful uphills are rewarded with minimum 10 min downhills--as dicey as you want to make it! I love singletrack where you're between mtn and air... and yet somehow you feel sqeezed 😉 Douthat is a perfect weekend camping destination. On a hot summer trip, there is even a lake to cool off post-ride.

Unfortunately, this particular trip was a short drive-by on our way home from visiting in Charlottesville, VA. You can tell because we are hardly sweating in these photos! Next time I'll have shots from the Middle Mtn overlooks which are even better!

Goose napping (and probably drooling on my sweatshirt) on the way home, he didn't even ride!
