2013 - Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Here we are, off to a fresh new start. Where shall we stop first on this already interesting journey? ......Camping World, of course. Why there, you ask. Read on...

After limping our wounded RV out on the expressway (Rt. 81), I mentioned to Cory that our new Blue Oxx hitch seemed to be jerking more than usual. Next roadside rest, he pulled in and checked it. One lever on it seemed disengaged and just flopped around. Good Grief, Charlie Brown...this is supposed to be a GOOD year! Fortunately, with my trusty IPad, I was able to locate the closest Camping World and it was open!! Cory drove the 75 mile distance to Winchester, Virginia at 55 mph. Actually, that was quite nice....not so fast that my hair gets slickered back like a hood ornament. The serviceman came out and looked at the hitch....broken and can't be fixed. I won't mention that Cory was jumping up and down on it like an excited baboon when we were hung up on the bad rock. It's new and under warranty so we should, hopefully, get our money back...they are not cheap! We bought a another new one and Cory hooked it up....works fine so we are set to go. And, he promised he won't jump on it. I even got the chance to see the Rose Bowl parade for a little while inside Camping World. No lemonade to drink though. I always think how wonderful that parade would be to see in person....not this year obviously. The satellite on our RV for our TV actually works as we drive but we are not chancing screwing that up so we ride in silence....except for our usual chatter. There's been a lot of that with all we have confronted so far....wonder what looms ahead. Hopefully, just sunshine and beautiful sunsets. Fear not....I will let you know.

Oh, did I mention I have an infected hangnail...ouch. Taking Chip's left-over antibiotics. Pray for me.

2013 will be a GOOD year!
Glad to hear that you have all the hindrences out of the way! Cory-watch out for Sandy, when she starts barking she has used too much of Chip's meds! Take care! We have had an uneventful start to the new year. We saw Les Mis....it was fantastic~also saw Jack Reacher (many Pgh scenes and Kate was set designer...so we had a vested interest!!). Matt is in Texas, the girls are off skiing with friends (at different places...lack of communication, otherwise they would be at the same place!)...so the old folks are dog sitting all of the dogs!! Happy New Year....watch out for churches and rocks!
