Today’s Ride

Even though I am extremely anxious to get going, I had another tourist day in Williamsburg.

If you a lover of History, this is a great place to visit.

Colonial Williamsburg is immaculately preserved and there are over 50 sites, homes, trades, taverns and shops to experience.

It is sort of a Disneyland of Colonial History. There are costumed guides in each and every building, including the King Arms Tavern where I had lunch.

I spent all day in Williamsburg and covered perhaps 1/3 of the opportunity’s available.

I enjoyed the day but am ready to roll.

Finally, I’m off to Charles City tomorrow.

All of the period guides were fantastic here. It is obvious that they all love teaching us about Colonial Williamsburg. Fran has been teaching History for over 20 years. I was completely captivated during her entire tour.

I enjoyed a Pot Roast, mashed potatoes, and a mug of beer. While we were dining, our waiter educated us on the dining etiquette in the 18th Century.

Nobody deserves a public shaming more than Rider Bob!

And so it begins...
Good luck tomorrow. I’ll do a “solidarity ride” tomorrow. Not nearly as ambitious as your undertaking but I’ll be thinking about you.

Thanks for the input
I heard that there were a lot of private residences there. I wondered what it would be like to live in Disneyland!
