Beautiful scenery to historic sites

Day 173 (Friday 09/10/09, NJJ)
Lie in until 10.30am. Headed for Shenandoah National Park. Entered the park at Rockfish Gap and drove north. The scenery was beautiful. Although the National Parks in the northeast and not as impressive as on the west of the USA the fall colours are still beautiful. After the park we passed through a place called South Wales on the way too Manassas National Battlefield Park. Then on for the final leg today to Arlington to check into our hotel for the next few nights.
