This has to be one of God's greatest creations! We had so much fun here hiking a couple of different paths, one paved and one very rough. On the first we met a very sociable squirrel wanted fed. There is a $100.00 fine if you are caught feeding any animal.
The Virgin river running through the canyon was so inviting! It was warm weather and many folks took of their socks and shoes to hike further up into the canyon in the shallow water. Many places had small rapids making wonderful sounds. The 2nd hike we had to climb up about 300 feet of rocky narrow path across the face of one of the mountain peaks to see Emerald Pools and a small waterfall. We had just come down from there when it started pouring rain and the small waterfall became huge! We were fortunate not to be caught up there! Tomorrow we drive to Lake Powell!
