We started our trip today with a 7 hour drive from LA to Hurricane, Utah (just half an hour from Zion National Park). The drive was actually pretty good. We went from California to Nevada to Arizona to Utah, passing through the Mojave Desert.
One note about the weather: it's hot, damn hot!!!!
At some points along the way it was 46 degrees outside, and even at evening it's over 40. This weather is expected to last, so tomorrow at Zion will be limited to short hikes only.
