Salt Lake in Utah

We went to Antelope Island located close to Salt Lake City. The water in this lake contains more salt than the ocean. Sometimes called the dead sea because very little lives in this lake. However there are fishing boats that fish for brine shrimp. The lake is beautiful for the reflections of the mountains in the water.

We saw one lone bison, which was the only wild animal we saw except for the sea gulls. There is a ranch on the island that is not an active ranch but is now a museum. I am anxious for some of my friends to see the pictures of old equipment and tell me how they were used. Some I recognized, but many are foreign to me. The house on the ranch has some of the tools the women use to manage a home. There lives were very work intensive!

Our next adventure will be at Bryce Canyon.
