Traveling north through Utah We left Zion this morning and started north but Utah is a big state and we don't put in a lot of miles in a day when we are in the motorhome. Zion is in the far southwest corner of Utah and we stopped for the day near Nephi, which is about in the center.
So far the landscape hasn't changed much, mostly sagebrush prairie and craggy mountains with a few ranches, although there was a little bit of agriculture toward the end of the drive. It was 92 degrees when we got to the campground but we did have a brief rain shower along the way.
Nephi is a small town maybe 90 miles south of Salt Lake City. The campground is a few miles up a scenic byway, in a mountain valley. We don't have cell service here but the WIFI works pretty well.
We're just going to stay around camp tonight with no other plans for exploration.
