Krum, Texas is a small community north west of Denton, the home of North Texas State University. The town was a railrod town and thus the train tracks still run through the center of town. The 2000 population was estimated to be 1979 and the 2010 population has grown to 4157. The town is about two square miles in area. As with many small towns several businesses have closed or have moved from the downtown area and in this case to the road outside of the city which goes to Denton. City Hall has remained and is located in some old buildings which have been renovated. The new museum is located in the former bank building. The day we visited there was no admission cahrge hwoerv the second foor was still under renovation. There is the original bank teller's cage from the old bank and the vault is located in the rear of the building. Some interesting exhibits. parking on the street.
