Missouri River
at Nebraska City Friday, September 15, 2017
Last Friday, 8 Sept, we finally got out of Nebraska, crossing the Missouri River into Iowa at Nebraska City, NE/Sidney, IA. We crossed Missouri on US 36, stopping for the night at Long Branch State Park near Macon, MO.
Saturday, 9 Sept, we drove to Cape Girardeau, MO. After setting up at the Cape Camping & RV Park, we went to the casino to make a deposit.
Sunday, 10 Sept, we crossed the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau into Illinois. We crossed the Ohio River into Kentucky at Cairo, IL. Then home at last.
We had a great trip, though shorter than usual. We saw familiar sights and some new places. Also new faces and an old familiar one.
Here are our stats:
We traveled 4,252 miles
We spent 18 nights in campgrounds
Average cost per night $20.79
We purchased 368.752 gallons of gas
Average cost per gallon $2.48
Average miles per gallon 10.94
That's all for this trip. Thanks for going with us.
