From Alabama, we headed north into Tennessee. The first stop was in Memphis. I had read that the real estate prices were as depressed in Memphis as anywhere in the country. I looked at 20-30 properties there and the well priced properties were mostly in the most dangerous neighborhoods. I was thinking that the risk of being in dangerous areas might be worth the incredible upside inflation potential, but I wanted to know what Nashville and Knoxville felt like before making the decision. I had heard both were safer. On the way out of town we stopped by the Elvis Mansion.
